Lent: Week Five

St. Augustine’s & St. Mary’s Cathedral School are sponsoring a fish fry again on Friday, April 7.  They will serve fish, coleslaw, potato salad, chips, beans, bread and beverages.  Takeouts are available and tickets are available for advance purchase in the school and parish offices.

While you’re eating, you’ll experience something almost overwhelming: a sense of being surrounded by the community of St. Augustine's and St. Mary's Cathedral Churches & School.  School parents, school and parish staff and other volunteers not only prepare your food, but set your table, bring you beverages, and make sure you get enough to eat.

Did you want to talk with Fr. Luke?  He’ll be there: wearing an apron.  School Principal Pat Lindeman?  She’ll be there too!  Not to mention Marie and Bob Young, coordinators of the event.  They’ve been going crazy behind the scene putting everything together, but they’re never to busy to stoop down to a child and ask how the day is going.

The Gospel this Sunday said, “unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.”
