Lent: Week Six Continued
Castaway is the biggest funnest and best Catholic retreat that our Church offers. You get to meet nee people while celebrating your faith in a way that teens enjoy. I will never regret going. Jessie Something that I like about the
Castaway weekend was how I got to meet new people and reunite with my old
friends and get to pray and worship with them. A lot of the songs were cool
and fun to sing and had sweet This past weekend I attended Castaway up in Detroit Lakes. This was my 1st year going to Castaways and it was the best experience. I went up there expecting to have a good time with my friends, which I did, but most of all I had a great time growing in my faith. Many things helped me grow in my faith this weekend. First of all the songs we sang, really opened me to God and I never felt that way and had that much fun singing before. Also being with people who share the same thing helped me grow. This weekend really taught me a lot and I can’t wait for next year. Tricia
I went to Castaway thinking I was just going to have a good time with my friends but after the first night I knew I was going to get more out of the weekend. I met so many cool people who wanted to express their faith also. Overall it was a great experience that I would love to do again. Alli
This weekend at Castaway I learned that making a fool out of myself singing is really fun! In my Church we don’t sing much and at Castaway I really got into it. Castaway was also a great way to meet new people. (Youth) Castaway… What can’t I say? Well, I
guess a lot of things. Anyways, it was quite enjoyable. How couldn’t it
be? When groups of faith filled (and slightly hyper) youth get in a room
and start to singing and dancing, I have been to Castaway 7 different times now. Once as a youth and 6 times as the Youth Minister of St. Augustine’s Parish. Each time I grow in my faith as I see young adults open there hearts, eyes, and minds to see Jesus in everyone around them. This is a really neat way to spend time with youth and show them what our Catholic Faith is. -Suzy Amundson The Next St. Augustine's Youth Group Meeting (SAY) is April 19 at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria.
